There has been much progress over the
last few weeks. The windows on the front of the building are now
in place. What a difference they make in the look of the
building! A single manual door was also installed at the north end
of the closed in porch. On the south end of the porch, there will
be a double-wide automatic door. The board and baton around the
windows has been stained to match the rest of the building.
The refrigeration company started
installing the meat, deli, produce and dairy coolers on September
11th. Dry wall is now being hung on the inside of the building,
the electricians are installing the lights and equipment is being moved
into the building. Concrete sidewalks have been poured on the
south side of the building and the north end of the porch. The
remainder of the sidewalks will be poured soon.

finished with their work.

the new sign on the front of the building. Now, the rumor of it
being called "Melody's Grocery Store" will have to end.
There are lights in the parking lot so viewers can see the building at
night. All of the coolers are running and ready for
groceries. The parking lot and a driveway to the south entrance
has been paved.
All the inside walls have been painted
and doors and trim are being hung. Signs are being made for each
department and aisles. The plumber and the refrigeration company
have finished their work, and the electricians are finishing up this
week. Representatives from Associated Wholesale Grocers were here
last week setting up shelves. Groceries will be stocked sometime
this week. Loutre Market is getting closer to opening!
